We love it here, because we feel our identity expand with the untamed boundlessness of these landscapes.

Mountain Home Collective translates that love into the interior design of your dream mountain home. Because your Mountain home is so much more than walls — it is sanctuary, and inspiration. It is a place to gather, grow deep roots, and bloom anew.

These values come to life through colors and textures, lighting and materials, spaces and shapes. Each piece in your home is a work of art in its own right, rich in craftsmanship and beauty, yet integral to the whole.

An interior design ethos of authenticity, beauty, and connection

Mountain Home Collective is a Montana interior design studio at the intersection of passion, community, artisan appreciation, and beauty. Why mountains? Perhaps we can't put that feeling into words, but we can speak it through design.

The West calls to something deep in us — untamed and pure. Wildly original, yet timeless. Independent yet connected. Here, who we are, meets who we seek to become. We find our best selves in the Rocky Mountains of Southwest Montana.

Interior design inspiration is found in every Mountain vista — the rugged elegance of snowcapped peaks, the clarity and energy of free-flowing rivers, the sweetness and innocence of wildflower-filled meadows, the peace and perspective of rolling golden fields.

A countertop that would be perfect in a kitchen with a view of Lone Peak. Fabric that belonged in a cozy guest bedroom. Or, the perfect leather trim to adorn a lounge chair next to a wood-burning fireplace...

The mountains were calling. And in summer 2020, I made my way back to them, bringing my own Montana interior design firm to life — Mountain Home Collective."

Sara Marcille | Principal

"Mountain Home Collective is the result of a natural evolution, and a longstanding dream. It brings me back to my roots of mountain resort residential interior design.

When living in Chicago, working with one of the nation’s top interior design firms, it became clear that the West was where I belonged. Even while walking the showrooms of the world's most revered design centers or choosing high-end materials, furnishings, or light fixtures, all I could envision was how well these pieces would fit into thoughtful interior design for the perfect mountain home.

Allyson Koehler | Interior Designer

Ally received her bachelor’s in Interior Design from the Art Institute of Colorado in 2015 and since then has immersed herself deeply into the design industry. Her first three and a half years after school, Ally worked as a designer for a well-respected hospitality design firm in Golden, Colorado whose work can be seen throughout the U.S and globally. In 2019, Ally moved to Bozeman with her now husband and began working as a sales and design consultant at Gallatin Valley Furniture and loved working closely with clients.

While there, Ally gained extensive knowledge on high-end furniture, construction and a deeper understanding of logistics and supply chain. She joined Mountain Home Collective in February of 2021 and loves being part of a design collective that respects and appreciates the way of the West and what the landscape offers right outside our door.

When she is not working, Ally enjoys hiking, skiing and fishing with her husband, Eric and dog, Lola. They are excited to welcome their first child this summer and feel so grateful to be able to raise him in such a beautiful, outdoor oriented, family-friendly town.

Alicia Topp | Design Coordinator

Born and raised in a small town in Southern Minnesota, Alicia moved to the mountains over 8 years ago and after falling in love with the big sky views, hasn't been able to leave. Her creative background started with Floral Design while she has always had a strong interest and appreciation for Interior Design. Alicia has been with Mountain Home Collective since December 2020 and is our Whitefish presence on the team.

Her favorite mountain activities include hiking in Glacier National Park, kayaking on Whitefish Lake, and S'more-making around a bonfire with her husband and friends.

What she loves most about Montana Design is the coziness and warmth each space achieves when tucked in the mountains, all while remaining elevated and sophisticated.

Hannah LaRock | INTERIOR DESIGNER

Hannah was born and raised in a small town in Minnesota where she discovered her love for art and design. She followed her passion for design and the outdoors and landed in Bozeman, Montana, where she completed her Associates Degree in Interior Design at Gallatin College.

Hannah started with Mountain Home Collective as an Intern in June 2021, but quickly exceeded this role with her attention to detail and organization and became our Design Assistant in September 2021. Hannah's favorite part of Interior Design is space planning and problem-solving. She has a love for Montana's natural color palette and appreciates adding special details to help clients feel like they are truly "home" at the end of their project.

In her freetime, Hannah enjoy's spending time on the lake with family and friends, downhill skiing at Bridger Bowl, and hiking with her golden retriever Boone.

KELSEY JORONEN | ARCHITECT

Kelsey grew up in Livingston, MT, and was raised exploring the mountains and soaking her toes in the Yellowstone River. Enchanted by the vernacular structures in the area, it was only natural for her to investigate how people can connect to this beautiful landscape in how they live. She gravitated towards architecture and received her MArch from Montana State and is a licensed Architect in the state of Montana.

Kelsey began her career working in several architecture firms that have proved instrumental in defining the local residential architecture. There she learned the importance of defining details that elevate designs and how to honor the relationships with the people that help a project come to fruition.

Outside of work, Kelsey loves to spend her time out in nature with her husband and two daughters and painting.

SAMANTHA KRAGEL | INTERIOR DESIGNER

Throughout her time growing up in eastern Iowa, Sam found a love for creating. During her time studying Interior Design at Iowa State University, she explored several unique classes including augmented reality within architecture. At the end of her senior year, Sam was rewarded with the Janice Peterson Anderson Award of Excellence for the ISU College of Design for her outstanding and diverse portfolio.

Sam explored the world of residential and commercial design with an internship for London Walder Interior Design in Chicago, IL and for INVISION Architecture in Des Moines, IA. In 2020, she graduated with her BFA and moved to Kansas City, MO to work for the international sports architecture firm POPULOUS. During her time, she worked on a plethora of large-scale sports and entertainment projects including everything from VIP club spaces to locker rooms for teams such as the Kansas City Chiefs, Cleveland Cavaliers, and San Francisco 49ers. Her time with POPULOUS equipped her with an advanced technical skillset, comprehensive project awareness, client relations, and appreciation for high-end design.

MHC invited Sam on full time as a remote employee in the spring of 2023. Working on residential projects allows her the ability to focus on the fine details and orchestrate an elevated experience for each client.

BONITA JULIUS | INTERIOR DESIGNER

In the first few years of her career, Bonita worked in hospitality and commercial design, where she gained valuable experience in project management and overseeing large-scale projects. She later transitioned into residential design, where she’s been thriving for the past seven years.
